  About Us

Unity of the Mountains is located in Avon Colorado and is a member of the Unity family of churches. It is a sacred gathering of loving spiritual beings, who honor all faiths.   We serve all areas including Vail, Avon, Edwards, Wolcott and Eagle.  We would love to have you join us.

We believe there are many paths, but One God. We describe ourselves as a center for spiritual growth. Many describe their experience of being with us as accepting, warm, loving, exciting and humorous.

We have discovered that we learn through our experiences how spiritual truth can be a resource for living abundantly. We are eager to continue the growth of our spiritual center and to continue the relationships we have established in our mountain community.

If you need a minister for any life event or to respond to any questions you have about Unity please call us at 970-845-0599.

Vision Statement
We are an inclusive spiritual community where we recognize and express our oneness with our Creator and all creation.
The 5 Basic Principles of Unity

1. There is only one Presence and one Power active as the universe and as my life, God the Good.

2. Our essence is of God; therefore, we are inherently good. This God essence, called the Christ, was fully expressed in Jesus.

3. We are co-creators with God, creating reality through thoughts held in mind.

4. Through prayer and meditation, we align our heart-mind with God. Denials and affirmations are tools we use.

5. Through thoughts, words and actions, we live the Truth we know.

The Five Tenets of Unity

1. God is absolute good, everywhere present.

2. Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within. Their very essence is of God, and therefore they are inherently good, also.

3. Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking. Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

4. Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God-Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

5. Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough. A person must also live the Truth that he or she knows.
